I just finished reading that truly pathetic excuse for a letter that you received, accompanied by the unexpected "gift" which has necessitated you to delay column #88 of your newsletter. The author should VERY SOON be receiving a "gift" himself, from one or more of the following:
1. Yahoo's complaint dept.
2. The F.B.I.

Should the author wish to "thank" ME for so kindly sharing his letter with the above-mentioned parties, he can consider THIS WARNING: DON'T! Unless of course he would like a personal visit from his friendly local police dept! MY computer is equipped with FAR MORE than a firewall and the latest software to detect and remove ALL manner of such unwanted "gifts"!

I am not sure that it is in the Bailey book. But here is something from one of hundreds of websites on the subject.

The My Lai massacre. On March 16, 1968, US soldiers from the Americal Division slaughtered 347 civilians--primarily old men, women, children, and babies--in the Vietnamese village of My Lai 4 (pronounced, very appropriately, as "me lie"). The grunts also engaged in torture and rape of the villagers.

Around six months later, a soldier in the 11th Light Infantry Brigade--known among the men as "the Butcher's
Brigade"--wrote a letter telling of widespread killing and torturing of Vietnamese civilians by entire units of the US military (he did not specifically refer to My Lai). The letter was sent to the general in charge of 'Nam and trickled down the chain of command to Major Colin Powell, a deputy assistant chief of staff at the Americal Division, who was charged with investigating the matter and formulating a response.

After a desultory check--which consisted mainly of investigating the soldier who wrote the letter, rather than his
allegations--Powell reported that everything was hunkey-dory. There may be some "isolated incidents" by individual bad seeds, but there were no widespread atrocities. He wrote: "In direct refutation of this portrayal is the fact that relations between Americal soldiers and the Vietnamese people are excellent." The matter was closed.

I read today that, according to the supreme court, it is now legal to burn Jesus' Cross, in certain instances. 
This brings up the question, "are we able to burn American Flags, in certain instances, or, would our proposed flag amendment give more protection to the American Flag than to Jesus Cross?"

Yossel Zelkovitz worked in a pickle factory. For many years he had a powerful desire to put his penis in the pickle slicer. Unable to stand it any longer, he sought professional help.

After six months, his therapist gave up. He advised Yossel to go ahead and do it or he would probably never have any peace of mind.

The next day he came home from work very early. His wife, Sarah, became alarmed and wanted to know what happened. Yossel tearfully confessed his tormenting desire to put his penis in the pickle slicer. He went on to explain that today he finally went ahead and did it and was immediately fired from his job.

Sarah gasped and ran over to her husband. She quickly yanked down his pants and boxer shorts only to find a normal, completely intact penis.

She looked up and said, "I don't understand. What about the pickle slicer?" Yossel replied, "I think she got fired, too."  ##
