Dear Mr. Baraka:
I am one of the Israelis who received information to stay home on 9/11/01. It worked this way: On 9/10, I was called and received an additional 110 names
and numbers. I called 10 people, and gave each of them 10 names and numbers to call themselves. It went on like that until as many Israelis and Jews who
worked in the twin towers were contacted. The attack was staged to incite a war
with Muslims; this I know for a fact. However, there was a secondary purpose: to
keep the plan only thinly veiled so as to give rise to theories, that by the nature of
their implausibility, could only be described as crackpot or conspiratorial, thereby
discrediting their propagators. Unfortunately, you have fallen victim to the second
plan.
The real reason I'm writing, though, is to apologize for putting my own personal
safety ahead of non-Jews, and to offer you my support. If possible, I'd like to
come forward to lend credibility to your claims, in the media or wherever I may, so
as to ensure your tenure as Poet Laureate, and to assist you in using that office
to share valuable information regarding the so-called terrorist attacks. A great
deal has happened in the last year, and I can no longer bear the guilt of prior knowledge, knowing that so many people died needlessly and painfully. The
excoriation and ridicule you have suffered in the media, on top of everything else,
is too much to bear.

I have a sole-proprietorship computer consulting firm, formerly located at 70 Battery Place (now in Chelsea). The client I was to visit was Helen Keller
International, whose offices were destroyed on 9/11 (you can check out their website at hki.org). One thing I can't tell you is from whom I received the call, or
for that matter, how a list of only Jewish employees was compiled, or the names of those I called myself. I guess you'll have to research that piece of it on your

Look Al, I don't want to waste your time. The letter to Baraka was facetious in
tone. At the time I wrote it, I couldn't believe that such primitive stupidity existed
to allow for such a theory as his, so I decided to turn it into a prank. Now I'm
even more astonished by the credulity that went into the reading of my letter, which was intended as a parody. The overweening pomposity of idiots is
impressive.
